::A Merry Mantel::

When I used to blog at ::cottage instincts:: some of my favorite posts to write were about my mantel and fireplace decor as the seasons changed.

In our current home, the fireplace and mantel are center stage, soaring 2 stories and viewed the moment you walk in my front door.

{Hi Bogart!} I decided to keep things simple this year.

Well, as simple as I get.

I crafted the burlap sign...it had been a gift bag I cut down to size.  Picked up a few thin wood strips at Michaels, stained 'em up, and sandwiched the the burlap between with some hot glue and BAM. Unique merry signage.

Anyone surprised my vintage aqua mason jars play a kinda central roll?

Frosty stems from JoAnns, berry garland from Menards.

Hobby Lobby lanterns caught my eye back in July when they start putting Christmas decor out. :)

I kinda fell in love with this burlap pillow wrap found in a local shop.

And that's a wrap for this Holiday Mantel post too.

Do you go all out on your mantel?  Or did you choose a more simple approach this year?
