So now that you know that I kinda go overboard in my harvest-time decor, let me introduce my fireplace hearth and mantel…     It started coming together nicely on the hearth and mantel, then I got stumped by the area over the mantel where the ginormous pallet resides…then inspiration struck. A week later.

I’m no brain surgeon, but I’m kinda assuming that the bright orange color associated with fall comes primarily from the plentiful harvest of the pumpkin patch.     And yet, there are a plethora of other fall colors {and shades of orange for that matter} that actually sing to my heart on a less pitchy note.

I have a history of going overboard in my fall decorating.     Actually, that isn’t entirely true. That history really only started when I discovered the world of decor blogs ’round about 2009.
