FINALLY!  I’m showing you the guest room all finished.

Which is code for “finished for now”, because we all know no room gets finished. When it does, that means it’s time to redo it, amiright?

I used a lot of what I had on hand, but I supplimented with some smart buys and thrifted items…

Chair was a craigslist find. The throw, wreath, and pitcher were from Target. The wall treatment is from Weaber Wallboards that I painted white.

The headboard was a serendipitous find at a resale shop. It’s Target’s Threshold brand, and I believe they are still on the website as of this writing. Lamps and bedside tables are TJ Maxx finds. Pinch pleat bedding is Target {as is the quilt at the bottom, but that color is discontinued}, and the linen pillow is from IKEA.

I stitched up the curtain panels a few years ago with fabric I found on the clearance table!

Big aqua demijohn-ish jar is from Tuesday Morning.

Light came from my Mama’s stash 🙂

“Be Our Guest” sign from my friend Aimee at Wordsmith.studio and you can save 10% at checkout with the code COTTAGEGIRL10 🙂

I’d shown a bit of this room in my post about our Zinus SmartBase.

After we got the SmartBase, we realized were also in sore need of a new mattress pad and some pillows.

Enter Downlite Bedding!  We were pretty stoked about our new Spa Luxe Cool Touch Tencel Blend  Plush mattress pad and 2 King size Sealy Nano-Cool Knit pillows.  Soooo comfy!  Downlite provides bedding to hotels all across America, so chances are you’ve slept on Downlite products.

When you buy from Downlite, you also are buying factory direct, so prices are fabulous!  In fact, right now you can save an extra 15% on their Laura Ashley collection by using the code lasale15 at checkout! Woop!

We also needed some new queen sheets and wanted to try some microfiber types as I’d been hearing friends singing their praises.  I went with Linens and Hutch 4-piece Essential Sheet Set in White.

Now I know why folks are raving about these sheets! They are waaay soft, and for those of us dealing with night sweats because we may or may not be almost middle aged….well, they wick moisture and help ya keep yer cool 🙂

So there ya have it.  Finished for now, my used for the first time this weekend by travelling musicians, guest room.  All of you are welcome to come stay!

Hi Nancy! I painted my grampa’s dresser years ago…with an oops paint. It was an aqua shade, but what gives it the dimension is the glazing. Sorry I don’t have the name of the paint!
